Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for use of the internet website service (hereinafter 'Service') provided by ALT Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'the Company') pursuant to the Telecommunications Business Act and its enforcement regulations, and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users.
Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
1. These Terms take effect upon publication on the website or notification to users by email or other means, following public announcement procedures in accordance with Article 31 of the Telecommunications Business Act and Article 21-2 of its Enforcement Rules.
2. The Company may amend these Terms without prior notice; amended Terms will be announced in the manner specified in Article 9. Members who disagree with the amended Terms may cancel their membership (withdraw), and continued use will be deemed consent to the amendments. Amended Terms take effect upon announcement.
Article 3 (Standards Beyond These Terms)
Matters not expressly stated in these Terms shall be governed by the Basic Telecommunications Act, Telecommunications Business Act, and other applicable laws.
Article 4 (Definitions)
Terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.
1. "Member" refers to a person who has registered by providing personal information to the Service and may continuously receive and use information from the Service.
2. "User" refers to both members and non-members who receive the Service provided by the Company pursuant to these Terms.
3. "ID" refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by a member and approved by the Company for member identification and Service access.
4. "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by a member to protect their confidentiality in communications.
5. "Email (E-mail)" refers to mail transmitted via the internet.
6. "Termination" refers to the expression of intent by the Company or a member to end the service agreement after use.
7. "Website" refers to the virtual service space set up by the Company using computers and other information and communications equipment so that users can access and use the Service.
Article 5 (Provision and Changes to the Service)
1. The Service provided by the Company includes the following:
1) Promotional content related to the Company
2) Information on products sold by the Company
3) Other information provided by the Company
4) Customer consultation services
5) Member-exclusive services
2. The Company may add or modify the content of the Service as necessary.
Article 6 (Suspension of the Service)
1. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service in cases such as maintenance, replacement, or failure of computers and other information and communications equipment, or communication disruptions.
2. In the event of a suspension under Paragraph 1, users will be notified in the manner specified in Article 9.
3. The Company shall not be liable for damages incurred by users or third parties due to a temporary suspension under Paragraph 1, except where the Company is found to be willfully negligent or grossly negligent.
Article 7 (Member Registration)
1. Users apply for membership by filling in member information in the form prescribed by the Company and expressing consent to these Terms.
2. Users must register under their real name and may submit only one registration application per name.
3. The Company will register applicants as members, except for those falling under any of the following categories:
1) The name provided is not the applicant's real name
2) The registration contains false information, omissions, or errors
3) The application was submitted using another person's identity
4) The applicant has previously lost membership status under Article 8, Paragraph 3 of these Terms (except for those who have passed 3 years since losing membership under Article 8(3) and have obtained the Company's consent for re-registration)
5) The applicant is under 14 years of age
6) The applicant otherwise does not meet the Company's membership application requirements
4. The membership contract is established when the Company's acceptance reaches the user.
5. If registered information changes as specified in Article 10, Paragraph 1, members must directly update and re-register the changes through the member information update section.
Article 8 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)
1. Members may request withdrawal from the website at any time, and the website will promptly comply.
2. The Company may restrict or suspend a member's membership if any of the following apply:
1) False information was registered during the application
2) The member threatens the operational order of the Service by obstructing others' use or misappropriating their information
3) The member uses the Service to engage in acts prohibited by law, these Terms, or contrary to public order and morals
4) The member fails to comply with the obligations specified in Article 13
3. If the same conduct is repeated two or more times, or is not corrected within 30 days after the Company has restricted or suspended membership, the Company may terminate the membership.
4. When the Company terminates membership, it will notify the member and proceed with withdrawal. In such cases, the Company will notify the member and provide an opportunity to explain before withdrawal.
Article 9 (Notification to Users)
1. When the Company notifies users, it may do so via the email address submitted by the user to the Service.
2. When the Company notifies a large and unspecified number of users, it may substitute individual notifications by posting on the Service's bulletin board for one week or more.
Article 10 (Protection of Personal Information)
1. When collecting user information, the Company collects only the minimum information necessary. The following items are mandatory; all others are optional:
1) Full name
2) Desired ID
3) Password
4) Email
5) Address
6) Phone number
7) Newsletter subscription preference
2. When collecting personally identifiable information, the Company will always obtain the user's consent.
3. Provided personal information may not be shared with third parties without the user's consent, and the Company bears full responsibility for this. Exceptions include:
1) When providing minimum necessary user information (name, address, phone number) to delivery companies for delivery purposes
2) When necessary for statistical compilation, academic research, or market research, provided in a form that does not identify specific individuals
3) When requested by government agencies pursuant to applicable law
4) For criminal investigation purposes, or upon request from the Korea Communications Commission or equivalent body
5) When requested pursuant to procedures prescribed by applicable law
4. Users may view and correct their personal information held by the Company at any time.
5. Third parties that have received personal information from the Company shall dispose of such information without delay once the purpose for which it was provided has been achieved.
Article 11 (Obligations of the Company)
1. The Company shall make its best efforts to provide the Service continuously and stably in accordance with these Terms.
2. The Company shall make its best efforts to maintain and operate all equipment related to the Service in an operational condition at all times, and to promptly repair and restore any failures.
3. The Company shall maintain a security system to protect users' personal information so that users can use the Service safely.
4. The Company will not send unsolicited commercial advertising emails to users.
Article 12 (Obligations Regarding Member IDs and Passwords)
1. Members are responsible for managing their assigned IDs and passwords, and bear responsibility for all consequences arising from negligent management or unauthorized use.
2. If a member's ID or password is stolen, or if the member becomes aware that a third party is using them, the member must immediately notify the Company and follow the Company's instructions.
Article 13 (Obligations of Members)
1. Members must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, usage guidelines, and notices communicated by the Company, and must not engage in conduct that interferes with the Company's business.
2. Members may not engage in any commercial activities using the Service without the Company's prior consent.
3. Members may not reproduce, copy, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, or otherwise use information obtained through the Service, nor provide it to others, without the Company's prior consent.
4. Members must promptly update their identity information if changes occur. Members bear responsibility for all consequences arising from failure to update member information.
5. Members must not engage in the following conduct in connection with the use of the Service, and bear responsibility for all consequences arising from such conduct:
1) Unauthorized use of another member's ID
2) Obtaining other members' email addresses and sending spam
3) Acts for the purpose of or related to criminal activity
4) Acts that harm public morals or social order
5) Acts that defame or insult the Company or others
6) Acts that infringe upon the intellectual property or other rights of the Company or others
7) Hacking or distributing computer viruses
8) Continuously transmitting advertising or similar content against the will of others
9) Any act that causes or is likely to cause disruption to the stable operation of the Service
10) Altering the content of the Service provided by the Company
11) Other acts in violation of applicable law
Article 14 (Deletion of Posts)
1. The Company may delete posts submitted or registered by users within the Service without prior notice if they are found to violate Article 13 or fall under any of the following:
1) Content that defames or disparages other users or third parties
2) Content that violates public order or morals
3) Content found to be associated with criminal activity
4) Content that infringes upon the copyrights or other rights of third parties
5) Content that disrupts or is likely to disrupt the stable operation of the Service
6) Content that criticizes the Company without basis or spreads rumors without verification
7) Content otherwise deemed to be in violation of applicable law
However, for reader bulletin boards, the following exceptions apply.
For large-volume data, the number of uploaded posts may be limited, and once the limit is exceeded, the oldest posts may be deleted for smooth server operation.
2. The Company may delete posts without prior notice if they contain links to information deemed to violate Article 13 or fall under any of the items in Paragraph 1 of that article.
Article 15 (Rights and Obligations Regarding Posts)
All rights, including copyright, and all responsibilities regarding posts belong to the user who submitted them.
Article 16 (Relationship Between Linked and Linking Websites)
1. When a primary website and a secondary website are connected via hyperlinks (e.g., hyperlinks may include text, images, and videos), the former is referred to as the 'linking website' and the latter as the 'linked website.'
2. The linking website bears no warranty liability for transactions conducted between the linked website and users through the linked website's independently provided services.
Article 17 (Ownership of Copyrights and Restrictions on Use)
1. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in works created by the Company belong to the Company.
2. Users may not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use for commercial purposes any information obtained through the Service, nor allow third parties to do so, without the Company's prior consent.
Article 18 (Prohibition of Transfer)
Members may not transfer, donate, or pledge as security their right to use the Service or their contractual status to any third party.
Article 19 (Damages)
The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users in connection with the free Service, except where such damages are caused by the Company's gross negligence.
Article 20 (Exemption from Liability / Indemnification)
1. The Company bears no responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, or content of information, materials, or facts posted by users on the Service. Users use the Service at their own risk and bear full responsibility for any damages arising from materials posted or transmitted through the Service, or for any disadvantages arising from selection of materials or other aspects of Service use.
2. The Company bears no responsibility for any goods transactions or similar dealings conducted between users or between a user and a third party through the Service in violation of Article 13, nor for any expected benefits of users in connection with use of the Service.
3. If the Company incurs liability to users or third parties and suffers damages as a result of a user's violation of Article 13 or other provisions of these Terms, the violating user shall compensate the Company for all damages incurred and indemnify the Company against such damages.
Article 21 (Dispute Resolution)
1. The Company and users shall make every effort to resolve disputes arising from the Service amicably.
2. Notwithstanding Paragraph 1, if litigation arises from such a dispute, it shall be under the jurisdiction of the Seoul District Court.
3. The laws of the Republic of Korea shall apply to such litigation.
Article 22 (Miscellaneous)
For matters not expressly addressed in these Terms, users should contact the relevant staff.
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms are effective as of January 29, 2026.
