Privacy Policy

"ALT Co., Ltd." (hereinafter "Company") actively protects users' privacy and personal information to ensure freedom of communication in the information society. This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided by the Company and may be updated in accordance with changes in applicable laws, government guidelines, or internal policies. Please visit this page regularly to review any updates.

Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods

The Company collects the following personal information for consultation, service applications, and related purposes.
Name, national ID number, date of birth, phone number, mobile number, email address, address, fax number, email subscription status, etc.

In addition, the following information may be automatically generated and collected during service use or business processing.
Service usage records, access logs, cookies, IP addresses, payment records, account suspension records

The Company may additionally collect optional information to provide better services. However, members are not required to provide optional information if they choose not to. The Company may also request additional information when using certain services that require it. In such cases, the information provided will not be used for any purpose other than the relevant service and the purposes disclosed in advance.

Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information

The Company collects personal information to provide quality services tailored to individual members' preferences and needs. "Personal information" refers to information that can identify a specific individual, such as name or national ID number, including information that can identify an individual when combined with other data, as well as member information including ID and password used for member identification. Members' personal information is not disclosed without prior consent. The Company uses collected personal information for the following purposes.
Fulfillment of service contracts, billing, content delivery, shipment or invoice issuance, financial transaction authentication, purchase and payment processing, and debt collection

Development and specialization of new services (products), handling inquiries and complaints, delivery of notices, prevention and sanction of acts that interfere with smooth service operation (including account theft and fraudulent use), voice command recognition and personalized services, demographic-based service provision and advertising, analysis of access frequency, statistics on members' service use, and delivery of promotional information such as events

Consent to Collection of Personal Information

The Company obtains members' consent for the collection of personal information.

For email inquiries, the Company provides a consent procedure regarding this Privacy Policy. By selecting [I agree to the collection and use of personal information] and clicking [Send], you are deemed to have consented to the collection and use of personal information along with sending the email.

However, in the following cases, the Company may collect personal information without obtaining prior consent from members pursuant to Article 22, Paragraph 1 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
When necessary to provide services based on the terms and conditions
When necessary for billing related to paid services
When required by applicable laws and regulations

Sharing and Provision of Collected Personal Information

The Company uses users' personal information within the scope specified in this Privacy Policy and, in principle, does not use it beyond that scope or share users' personal information with third parties without prior consent.

However, the following cases are exceptions.
When the user has given prior consent to disclosure
When necessary for billing related to paid services
When requested by courts, dispute resolution bodies, investigative agencies, or legal entities due to involvement in a dispute or investigation
When required by law, i.e., when requested by government authorities through lawful procedures
When providing applicant information to a domain registrar for domain name registration
When provided for WHOIS services related to domain names
When used to contact a member for business purposes
When provided to advertisers, partners, or research organizations in a form that cannot identify specific individuals, for statistical, promotional, academic, or market research purposes

In addition, the Company may share users' personal information with affiliates for technological development or to provide better services. In such cases, the Company will inform users of affiliate information, the types of information requested, and measures for protection and management before collection or sharing, and obtain consent. Without user consent, the Company will not collect or share such information.

Entrustment of Personal Information Processing

The Company does not entrust the processing of users' personal information to external parties without user consent. If such need arises in the future, the Company will notify customers of the entrusted party and the scope of entrusted work and obtain prior consent when necessary.

Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

The Company retains users' personal information continuously while providing services and uses it for service provision and related purposes.

In principle, users' personal information is destroyed when the purpose of collection or the purpose for which it was received has been achieved, as follows.
Records related to contracts or withdrawal of subscription: 5 years
Records related to payment and supply of goods: 5 years
Records related to consumer complaints and disputes: 3 years

Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been fulfilled. The procedures and methods are as follows.
Destruction Procedure
Information entered by members for email inquiries, etc. is retained for a specified period under internal policies and relevant regulations (see retention period) and then destroyed. This personal information will not be used for any purpose other than its intended use, except as required by law.

Destruction Method
Personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration. Electronically stored personal information is deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery of records.

Automatic Data Collection Devices and Opt-Out

The Company installs and operates cookies and other automatic data collection devices that store and retrieve user information.
A "cookie" is a small data packet sent by the server operating the website to the member's computer browser and stored on the user's hard disk. The Company uses cookies that store and retrieve user information to provide convenient and useful personalized services. The Company uses cookies for the following purposes.

Purpose of Cookies
Cookies are used to analyze users' access frequency and visit times, identify users' preferences and interests, track user activity, measure participation in events and visit counts, and provide targeted marketing and personalized services.

Users have the right to choose whether to accept cookies. Therefore, users may set their web browser options to allow all cookies, confirm each time a cookie is stored, or refuse all cookies.

Youth Protection Policy

The Company has established and implements a Youth Protection Policy to protect minors from harmful media under the Youth Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
a. The Company prevents minors under 19 from exposure to harmful media including violence, adult content, and obscene material, in accordance with the Information and Communications Ethics Committee review regulations and the Youth Protection Committee harmful media review regulations.

b. In cooperation with the Information and Communications Ethics Committee and related organizations, the Company will continue Internet environment cleanup activities through its own regulations to prevent the distribution of harmful media for youth on the services and content provided by the Company.

c. For youth protection, the Company designates a youth protection manager as described below and will make every effort to prevent harm from spreading through consultation and grievance handling related to harmful media for youth.

Obligation to Notify Policy Changes

If additions, deletions, or modifications to this Privacy Policy or Youth Protection Policy are made due to changes in laws, policies, or security technologies, notice will be given at least 7 days before implementation via the website's notice board. Privacy-related complaints arising from use of the Company's services may be submitted to the personal information management officer or the responsible department. The Company will respond promptly to users' reports.

Article 1 (Purpose)

The ALT website (hereinafter "Website") is operated by ALT Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Company"). This operating policy sets forth detailed rules regarding users' use of the Website.

Article 2 (Protection of Personal Information)

1. The Company does not disclose or distribute user information obtained in connection with operation of the Website to third parties without the user's consent. However, this does not apply when required by applicable laws or when requested by investigative authorities in accordance with procedures and methods prescribed by law for investigative purposes.
2. The Company may collect minimum personal information to deliver prizes to winners of online events conducted through the Website. Participants' personal information will be used for the relevant event purpose and then disposed of.
3. Other matters relating to personal information protection are governed by the separately posted "Privacy Policy".

ALT is a trademark of ALT Co., Ltd. and may not be used or reproduced without authorization.

Article 4 (Copyright and Responsibility for Posts)

1. Copyright in posts on the Website belongs to the original author who first created the post.
2. Information and opinions posted by users do not represent the Company's position. The Company does not guarantee the reliability or accuracy of information, materials, or facts posted by users. The user who posted the content bears full responsibility for any issues arising in connection therewith.
3. All information provided on the Website may be used for personal purposes only and is subject to the following conditions.
- Attribution: The original author of the content must be credited.
- Non-commercial: Content may not be used for commercial purposes.
- No modification: Content may not be adapted, altered, or processed.
4. The Company does not guarantee confidentiality on the Website. The Company is not liable for any damage users may suffer on the Website in connection with confidential matters.
5. The Website may contain links to external sites or other websites that are not protected by the Company's policies. The Company does not warrant any information, suggestions, or advertising provided on such linked websites.

Article 5 (Management and Retention of Posts)

1. If the Company determines that a user's post falls under the deletion standards in Article 6, the Company may delete the post without prior notice to the poster and may hold the poster liable depending on the severity of the matter.
2. When the Company deletes a post pursuant to the preceding paragraph, it may retain the post.

Article 6 (Standards for Post Deletion)

Users must not post content (including posts that link to such content) as described below.

1. Posts contrary to law and public morals
a. Posts deemed related to criminal conduct, including content that induces crime
b. Posts involving gambling or other speculative activities
c. Posts using coarse language, profanity, vulgar expressions, slang, or jargon that may cause discomfort to others
d. Posts that spread unverified false information or provoke conflict through aggressive defamation
e. Posts impersonating public figures, parties related to specific issues, or their associates
f. Posts containing groundless disparagement, defamation, or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality, or political orientation
g. Posts containing personal attacks or subjective claims
h. Posts related to specific sites or communities that conflict with social norms
2. Obscene or offensive posts
a. Obscene or violent posts
b. Posts containing data, software, music, photos, graphics, videos, or similar content that is sexually explicit or offensive
c. Posts soliciting prostitution or encounters for sexual purposes
3. Posts infringing privacy or defaming others
a. Posts disclosing another person's email address, photo, phone number, Resident Registration Number (RRN), vehicle number, or other personal information without consent
b. Posts that, if made public, may harm the reputation or interests of interested parties, such as rumors not officially clarified through investigation announcements, press reports, or statements by the parties concerned
4. Posts spreading false facts or containing personal attacks or incitement
a. Anonymous posts that baselessly defame others, spread false facts, or incite others
b. Posts that identify or imply specific individuals or organizations based on unverified facts or subjective judgment, causing discomfort, ridicule, or disparagement of others
5. Posts infringing copyright and other rights
a. Posts that illegally publish, distribute, or reproduce materials without the copyright owner's consent
b. Posts infringing copyright, patent, trademark, design, portrait, or other rights
c. Posts introducing illegal content sites
d. Posts for which the rights holder has requested deletion
e. Posts sharing post content or materials with others without the poster's permission
6. Illegal advertising or profit-seeking posts
a. Posts advertising products or services for profit
b. Posts publishing or promoting commercial content for the benefit of a specific company or individual
c. Posts facilitating or brokering monetary transactions between users
d. Posts that appear primarily intended to promote a specific subject, such as repeated posting of similar content
7. Other (including repeated posting of the same content)
a. Posts unsuitable for the board, such as meaningless text or repeated identical content
b. Posts damaged due to technical errors
c. Posts unrelated or inconsistent with content posted by the Company on the Website
d. Posts containing software viruses, computer code, or similar programs that disrupt smooth board service
e. When another user requests deletion of a specific post or comment with valid grounds
f. Other posts containing content that does not align with the purpose of the Website

Article 7 (User Sanctions)

1. If a user repeatedly posts content that violates this operating policy, the Company may issue warnings and restrict board access.
2. If a user's post causes harm to others or violates applicable laws, the Company may refer the matter to judicial authorities for additional sanctions.

Article 8 (Website Operation)

1. The Website values all user opinions and aims to serve as a channel for information sharing and communication.
2. The Company may revise or supplement this policy as deemed necessary and will notify users through notices on the Website.
